| Exmouth is a tiny little town about halfway up the west coast of Australia (see a map). The main reason we went there was to get a glimpse of the biggest fish in the ocean - the whale shark. Every April-June whale sharks come to the reef just off the coast to feed providing a great opportunity to check out these magnificent creatures. We also did a few dives (you can only snorkel with the whale sharks due to local regulations) on Ningaloo Reef while we were there, stayed in some funky tents and had the best dinner of the trip (see pic below - you can't miss it). |
