Strategy
There are probably several processes in your organization that could be made more efficient through the intelligent application of software. Automating processes can eliminate unnecessary work, reduce costs and increase productivity. I have worked for software vendors and customers, in consulting groups, development teams and support organizations. This experience allows me to provide valuable insight on making smart decisions when it comes to build vs buy decisions as well as estimating costs and resources.
Architecture
The process of architecting an application to provide a robust solution requires familiarity with a number of technologies. Fortunately, I have built several Internet applications from the ground up including database design to business objects to the front end and integrating third party applications. Each aspect of the architecture deserves consideration.
Development
There are any number of ways to develop just about any piece of software. My experience covers a variety of languages including Perl, Java, C#, Visual Basic and HTML. This breadth of experience lets me work in an environment that is compatible with my clients' expertise as well as avoid philosphical biases on technology.
I specialize in helping companies decide what problems need to be solved, how to solve them and actually developing the solution. Technological expertise, professionalism, thoroughness and attention to detail are the qualities that I can bring to your project. I won't profess to know everything but I have been doing this a while and have worked with a lot of amazing people from whom I've learned quite a bit.
